Cargill Meat Solutions has an exciting opportunity available for a Medical Assistant - 2nd shift in Dayton, VA. This position will assist medical staff in providing care to associates in order to protect, maintain, and improve their health status. To translate for Hispanic associates and provide transportation when needed. To assist in meeting department goals and requirements. Principal Accountabilities: Assist with Occupational Health related programs through accepted policies and procedures to ensure quality medical treatment of employees as directed by appropriate medical personnel. Maintain associate records to facilitate OSHA and Workers’ Compensation recordkeeping according to established policies and procedures to ensure location compliance. Be a liaison between health professionals, associates, and other medical team members to facilitate communication. Ensure confidentiality of medical data is protected. Assist with transportation needs of associates and off site translating.
Qualifications Required:
Maintains CPR certification. Background in medical field Knowledge of OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, and Industry (preferred not required) Good communication skills (required) Bilingual (preferred not required) Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Medical Tracking System
