The Heart Health North America Brand Development group has an opening for an experienced Brand Development Manager, Becel to champion this important brand and drive its continued growth through a focus on consumer insight, mix development and innovation. This position reports to the Brand Development Director, Heart Health located in the US. This position is location at our head office in Toronto.
Specific accountabilities for this position include:
• Working closely with the Brand Development Team, who are responsible for the following: • Brand strategy development • Consumer understanding of the target market needs and desires in general • Brand equity management • Project Leadership of brand innovation by identifying profitable gaps in consumer needs and translating those into brand programs and new product concepts • Brand communication, including creative advertising development, in compliance with Unilever Best Practice • Leveraging Unilever Global and Foods North America best marketing practices
Qualifications:
University graduate or equivalent with a minimum 4 – 7 years progressive experience in brand management with clear expertise in managing the marketing mix and advertising development. Experience of working in other functions (particularly sales) is critical and experience in the grocery trade is preferred. The candidate must be a team leader and team player, while being independent in mind and wanting to take the initiative. Excellent communication skills and listening plus computer literacy are essential. The successful candidate will have sound judgement, strong problem solving skills and use practical creativity. Travel to the US is required.
