The position of Maintenance Engineer will be to provide technical and professional leadership to manage the maintenance engineering aspect at Kroger Manufacturing’s Layton Dough Facility.

Responsibilities include:

· Ensure reliability of equipment, buildings and facilities to achieve a high level of asset preservation at a reduced total operating cost.

· Provide engineering counsel and leadership in establishing and refining preventive maintenance programs, employee training programs, scheduling techniques, parts room inventory, efficiency improvement programs, regulatory compliance programs, etc.

· Administer the PdM/PrM program and Parts Room inventory for all equipment, building and facilities through the CMMS System.

· Use predictive maintenance technology for the review and refinement of the maintenance program.

· Establish economic logic regarding equipment to be PM’d and determine the cost of the PrM tasks.

· Perform engineering analysis of equipment failures. Analyze equipment history and Line Event Data System to identify specific failures and effectively address them.

· Communicate and facilitate the materials, equipment and spare parts standardization and interchangeability program.

· Administer the parts room for adherence to company policies and ensure availability of necessary parts, elimination of obsolete material, adjustment and optimization of stocking levels.
· Manage the planning and scheduling of the maintenance work using the work order system.
· Establish work measurement techniques and determine the effectiveness and needed improvements of the maintenance department.

Requirements:

· Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering

· Experience using Lotus and Auto-Cad

· 5 years experience in the food industry
