Supply Chain Team Leader

To supervise and coordinate the activities for a functional area of multiple shifts of production workers in Shipping and Material Handling, including Palletizer Operations. To supply administrative and project management for the department. To ensure efficiency of operations and compliance with established safety, quality, material usage, sanitation and production scheduling guidelines.

Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent education/ work experience. Technical degree preferred. Technical background or experience required.

A. Must possess technical knowledge of forklift equipment operation and palletizer operation.

B. Must be totally aware of and ensure compliance with established safety procedures and practices, equipment operating guidelines, production efficiency standards, sanitation/GMP requirements specific to the department, and environmental programs. Knowledge of OSHA standards, FDA regulations, TTB and EPA reporting requirements are required.

C. Must have a working knowledge of the interrelationships between the Brewing, Packaging and Distribution departments as it relates to the product movement and production scheduling.

D. Must have a working knowledge of process control systems, computerized data logging systems and production database operations, mechanical systems dynamics and basic electrical systems. This includes the components of the various systems such as pumps, valves, timers, relays, drivers, fans, etc. Must possess basic machinery/system technical troubleshooting skills and a knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems. Must also be conversant with the planning and scheduling techniques associated with maintenance management.

E. Must have personal computing skills (Word, Excel) necessary to support Company and department procedures. Must have working knowledge of e-mail and personal scheduling (Outlook) systems.

F. Must be able to effectively supervise a diverse workforce composed of production and maintenance personnel establishing production priorities based on current demands. Must exhibit the flexibility needed to respond to frequent changes in production requirements and/or systems and equipment failures. Must be familiar with and able to administer the provisions of the various labor contracts pertinent to those personnel assigned from the various bargaining units.

- Uses basic technical/functional job knowledge and applies that knowledge to direct operations -Establishes and executes daily plans (staffing, changeovers, schedules, etc.) for work groups -Has input to and understanding of work group goals in line with department/plant -Builds effective and collaborative working relationships and a sense of team work within the work group -Evaluates situations and takes responsibility for decision making process -Effectively communicates with work group members, peers, and managers across the organization to insure appropriate information is provided to maximize performance -Assesses work group members¡¿ training needs and insures training is provided to optimize operational effectiveness -Has basic understanding of business processes, financial indicators, and the budgeting process -Effectively guides work group(s) through change process
