The Judge Group, INC. is currently in search of a Maintenance Technician for a Large Manufacturing Facility located in Wichita, KS. Job Description: Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment while following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment. Installs, repairs, overhauls, modifies and maintains electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery. Troubleshoots, programs, and maintains PLC's. Inspects and tests electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits. Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables, using hand tools. Replaces faulty switches, and other elements of electrical and mechanical systems. Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures. Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors. Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electrical, electronic, and mechanical components throughout the Plant. Maintains Plant power distribution systems, including performing preventative maintenance, and installing wiring, conduit and apparatus. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Inspects completed work for conformance with requirements of local building and safety codes. REQUIREMENTS: Qualified Candidate for the Maintenance Technician position MUST HAVE at least 3-5 years of previous Maintenance Technician/Electrician experience from within a Manufacturing Facility. Candidates also must have experience with PLC's (preferably Allen-Bradley / AB) and manufacturing equipment troubleshooting and repair experience. At this time, ONLY candidates local to KS will be considered as there is no relocation assistance being offered.
