Symrise, "where Science and Sensation meet", is the world's fourth largest manufacturer of flavors, fragrances and cosmetic & aroma ingredients. We currently have an opportunity for a quality control professional to oversee staff performance and day-to-day functionality of the QC Analytical Lab.

Responsibilities include ensuring accurate and timely testing of raw materials, intermediates and finished goods; preparing reports to effectively communicate analytical results; maintaining test equipment to ensure accurate QC analysis; prioritizing schedules & workloads; training/supervising staff; maintaining test equipment and ensuring adherence to safety policies & procedures.

To qualify, you'll need a BS in chemistry, microbiology or related science degree with experience in microbiological testing and/or instruments, along with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a QC Analytical or Research lab. Food, flavor, and/or fragrance experience is a plus.

Expertise in GC, GCMS and instrument analysis techniques, ISO-9001-2000, HACCP, GMP, food microbiological sampling/testing procedures, SAP & collateral and QC data systems are all desirable. Strong communication, customer relations and project management skills are a must.
