Process Control and Automation Engineer responsible for the implementation of electricity and automation solutions according to corporate strategies, standards and specifications.
Background in electricity and automation. Knowledgeable in electricity, instrumentation and MES (Manufacturing Execution System), specialized in process control (PLC, HMI/SCADA, Network, APC).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Corporate engineer for Electricity and Automation, responsible for the implementation of automation solution in assigned plants following Corporate standards.
* Implement, renew and maintain in collaboration with the Corporate team standards/strategies for: a) Basic Engineering Design (in Electricity and Automation). b) Process Control (HMI, PLC, Network) and MES. c) Maintain updated key documentation of the Network Infrastructure, Electrical System and Process Control for the assigned facilities.
* Follow through basic engineering design validation step, implementation at the plant level of corporate standards for electricity and automation and MES (This include electricity, instrumentation, process control, CIM, Etc). Travel to the North American plants in order to support our operation, validate and assist in the implementation of all related Electricity and Automation activities and initiatives. Oversee and support the engineering activities related to electricity, process control, automation and integration in the factories. a) Maintain key contact at the plant level. b) Relay information regarding Electricity, Instrumentation, MES and others. c) Help and support the plants for projects and maintenance. d) Validation and support for short term and mid term plan (Budget review and assistance). e) Optimize electrical/process control maintenance and operation costs.
* Involvement and support others Corporate initiatives as NES, Safety, etc. Maintain liaisons and support with other departments.
* Facilitate and secure resources required at each factory to implement, support and validate initiatives and activities related to electricity and automation.
* Optimize electrical/process control hardware and software to maintain plant at high level of efficiency, safety, and quality.
* Facilitate the development and implementation of Process Control System integration, new technology (APC and software applications).
* Maintain technical awareness of emerging technologies that apply to process control and automation.
* Maintain contact with key suppliers and challenge them in a competitive way. Proper validation of added value from key initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL: * Bachelor of Science in Engineering * 10-15 years of experience in process control
