Job Description
Schulze and Burch Biscuit Co., a privately held Company with an 80 year history of success as a quality food manufacturer, is currently recruiting a Trainer. The position will be located at the Company’s production facility in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. The Trainer creates, administers, organizes and conducts Company training programs for production, maintenance, quality control, administration, and management. Some of the areas that will be covered: safety, quality, manufacturing methods, production processes, operating procedures and improvements, cost, policies, leadership, employee development, decision making and communication. Job Responsibilities include: • Evaluate, research and assess training needs in all areas • Confer with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work areas requiring training to better understand changes in policy, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies • Review and modify existing programs and recommend appropriate changes • Develop teaching aids, handouts, evaluation forms and write new training materials • Coordinate training schedule to minimize disruption to production • Conduct training sessions motivate employees and stimulate understanding and involvement • Conduct train-the-trainer instruction • Develop a system to measure the effectiveness of programs, materials and training • Record and maintain a data base of trained employees and skill level • Develop higher skills from within existing workforce • Keep management informed of developments as they occur Job Requirements include: • Bachelors Degree and at least two (2) years of related experience • Must be available to work any shift as well as weekends, depending on training needs. • Fluent Spanish and English • Ability to communicate with company employees at all levels, professional training group members and consultants by phone , in person or through correspondence • Good public speaker, at ease moderating large groups • Ability to perform duties with minimal direction • Creative ability, writing proficiency and visual graphics design skills • Meticulously organized with knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures • MUST PASS physical, drug and background check
