Job Description
Electrical Mechanic DJ-19660 2008 Education: Degree not required Location: Kentucky Years Experience: 1-5+ Industry: Food Salary Range: Hourly rate based on skill level; Starting $16.00/ hr. Well known client is looking for several individuals to join their growing team. Great opportunity for advancement, stable company, very desirable area…located near other metropolitan cities.

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will perform electrical maintenance in a food manufacturing facility. Must complete Arch Flash, Lockout-Tag out, and other Safety Training applicable to this position. Adhere to all Safety regulations Company, NEC and OSHA applicable to this position. Must have good communication skills both written and verbal as well as basic computer skills. Test electrical components using ammeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other equipment. Read and follow blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot equipment and other circuits. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical panels as well as repair or replace faulty wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Must have or acquire knowledge of PLC’s, HMI’s, motion controls, and measuring instruments. Evaluate and provide troubleshooting assistance to production as needed. This is a continuous growth position and training will be provided. There are three levels of Electrical Mechanic: Skilled, Multi-Skilled, and Technician.

REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of the Maintenance Fundamentals; Electrical troubleshooting and repair on electrical panels, small transformers, or any other electrical equipment; Test Electrical components using ammeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes and other equipment; Responsible for maintaining electrical safety and integrity on all equipment; Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical systems and equipment; Able to work with basic hand tools; Able to read and comprehend blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting circuits and other equipment; Physically able to perform Haz-Mat tasks and understanding of chemical labeling; Documentation of daily duties and tasks.
