JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are currently seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Leader for our Louisville, Kentucky manufacturing facilities. Minimum job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identifies and implements process improvements;
- Leads and coordinates major projects dealing with process, equipment or line installations or reconfigurations;
- Establishes timelines and coordinates necessary resources to protect implementation/ start-ups;
- Coordinates needed operations training for new equipment, new processes, etc.;
- Manages the security and revisions to Standard Operating Procedures and servers as gatekeeper;
- Facilitates multi-disciplinary meetings concerning building of cost management projects and goals as well as CEA’s;
- Coaches operations supervision on cost improvement initiatives;
- Audits operation for performance gaps and develops plans to resolve;
- Will own plans and processes to drive savings in collaboration with other functions and resources;
- Serve as key change agent for continuous improvement results and drive a Zero Loss Culture;
- Provide leadership and coaching to drive rapid results by the use of Kaizan events, root cause analysis, and other improvement methods;
- Leverage best practices from within and outside the facility;
- Effectively communicate best practices/learnings to the rest of the organization;
- Foster two way communications between hourly employees and management.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 – 5 years’ demonstrated frontline leadership in manufacturing preferably in the food industry;
- Proficient in project management software/skills;
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently without losing efficiency;
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills;
- Strong oral, written, interpersonal and computer skills;
- Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree in Business strongly preferred.
