Job Description
Functions: -Executes project requests from marketing groups as [prioritized by management. -Creates new prototypes and develops new products from brief to launch. -Calculates limited components of new formulas during development and prior to submission to relevant government authority. -Work with Formula Writer System/Win Chem Systems. Keep formulas updated and archives obsolete formulas. -Recommends changes to enhance system. -Actively work with NPD database. -Sources ingredients and negotiates initial cost of formulas. -Participates in planning of projects and supervises Technicians and Associate Beverage Scientist in a team effort to obtain project completion and deadlines. -Travels to beverage plants and assists with production start ups as may be necessary. -Evaluates new product flavor and aroma via sense of taste and smell.
