Job Description
Duties: -Work with Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales and Customers to establish project objectives and action plans. -Work with technical team and Marketing to identify and define product concepts and establish project timelines. -Demonstrate organizational and planning skills. -Develop and manage timelines that contain primary as well as contingency plans. -Accurately assess and communicate risk associated with program ms to R&D and Marketing. -Work with vendors to research new ingredients, product technologies, and/or processes to develop new products and apply to productivity initiatives. -Leverage vendor capabilities where appropriate to expand formulation possibilities and increase speed to market. -Develop prototypes to support concepts. -Reformulate based on customer direction. -Conduct trials in the Pilot Plant or manufacturing facility to assess manufacturing capability. -Plan, execute and lead special batches involving cross-functional team members for scale-up and start manufacturing. -Provide training to junior staff. -Monitor production start up of new and revised products to confirm plant capability and conformance to design criteria. -Communicate plans and results to senior functional staff or business team. -Perform troubleshooting. -Determine the root cause of a problem and implement effective solutions.
