The Judge Group, INC. is currently in search of a Degreed Project Engineer for a Large Food/Beverage Manufacturing Facility located in Springfield, MO.
Position Overview: Must be a strong Project Manager and have solid processing knowledge! Under direction of the Director of Engineering, the Project Engineer executes the corporate capital plan by: Developing equipment and process specifications; Obtaining cost estimates; Preparing written reports; Interfacing with contractors; Assisting in equipment commissioning; Assisting in process trouble shooting and optimization.
MUST HAVE: Experience in Food/Beverage or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing. A 4-Year BS Degree in an Engineering Discipline. Must be highly promotable. Must have experience in leading projects on plant level and experience with working within a plant structure. Must have experience with Equipment and Facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities: Prepares project documentation including project justifications, budget analysis, calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules for assigned projects. - Reviews and checks engineering drawings, plans, calculations, estimates and reports for completeness, accuracy and soundness. - Provides guidance and work supervision to contractors and site maintenance personnel. - Responsible for contract administration including reviewing bid packages. - Acts as the site project manager for capital projects. - Determines scope of work, prepares requests for proposals, evaluates proposals, and participates in the selection of contractors and suppliers. - Generates project financial and performance reports. - Implements use of new technologies, cost saving techniques, improved safety procedures. - Understanding of design and layout of functional descriptions. Prefer knowledge of Grapfset. - Understanding of PLC and related software and structure. - Work with purchasing to create purchase requests, payment terms and arrange shipping.
