Job Description
Our client, a large national food processor, is searching for a
Plant Engineering Manager for their facility South of Harrisburg, PA.
About the opportunity:
Plant Engineering Manager will be responsible for capital projects up to 350K, from inception to completion. Projects will range from improvement of equipment, production lines, building and facilities, and other plant assets. Complete financial and timeline control will be required. In addition will supervise the plant maintenance department, and all maintenance duties on automated food processing equipment, part sourcing and procurement. Surplus equipment management and utility cost control will be under Plant Engineers responsibilities. Input on projects involving process improvement
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Master Degree in Engineering or Business Administration is preferred but not required. 5-10 years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Highly prefer experience in a food-processing environment. Certified or have a strong working knowledge of Process Improvement techniques, Six Sigma background is highly preferred. Ability to coach, lead and develop others. Excellent communication skills required.
