Job Description

As a Customer Fulfillment Team Leader for Hill's Pet Nutrition, you will provide on-site front line supervision for Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and Lead Customer Service Representatives (LCSRs) in the Customer Fulfillment organization, carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, applicable laws and DOT regulations, and be responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; conducting performance appraisals, rewarding and coaching employees, as well as managing customer service issues and/or opportunities. Responsibilities for this position include: Ensures productive use of employees’ time. Conducts applicant interviews and recommends hiring. Facilitate training and team meetings. Conducts performance appraisal and recommend salary increases. Coach direct reports through performance management. Prepare annual budget and provide monthly variance analysis with the Area Customer Service Manager. Manage facility's operating budget and support revenue generation associated with annual HDS volume. Participates with Customer Supply to resolve warehouse/inventory issues related to the route delivery operation (load quality checks, COD process, RGA process). With the LCSR's, coach evening “dispatcher” to ensure efficient delivery routing and common carrier freight minimization. Monitor route performance and recommend route design improvements. Provides safety training and on-the-job coaching and feedback to LCSRs and CSRs on safety and customer service skills. Develops market partnership with Sales to ensure volume and promotional objectives are maximized. Maintain a high level of integrity regarding strategic and confidential information. Supports the Valuing Colgate People initiative and sets the example.

Basic Qualifications: College graduate or equivalent related experience 3+ years experience in managing employees. 3+ years experience in managing route delivery or transportation related activity. 3+ years of experience in a customer service intensive industry Ability to travel up to 30% Preferred Qualifications: Class "A" or "B" Commercial Drivers License Exceptional team building and performance management skills required. Effective analytical and computer skills required. Effectively presents ideas both orally and in writing. Strong desire to service the customer and to Make it Happen. Ability to identify and resolve problems. Strong decision making skills and sound judgment. Ability to effectively confront and challenge team members when necessary Class “A” or Class "B" Commercial Drivers License and physical capability to cover delivery routes when the network experiences unscheduled absences strongly preferred.
