Develops improved purchasing patterns, targeted inventory levels and warehouse space planning process. Facilitates process improvements between Supply Chain and businesses by providing strategic direction and planning capabilities for direct material requirements planning and inventory management for platform manufacturing facilities, contract manufacturing and stocking location facilities as assigned by management. Develops improved economic order quantities and patterns, network resource planning, inventory target setting and advanced replenishment capabilities. 5 years related experience. COMPLEXITY: Multiple & distinct product lines, plants, or warehouses.
Qualifications:
Provide analysis and modeling support for execution of raw material strategies and inventory optimization initiatives (i.e. â?? SmartOps & i2, etc.)
Conduct ongoing assessments to optimize plant run strategies for direct materials to deliver cost, inventory and service objectives for assigned platform. Support analysis for supplier sourcing, network design and asset consolidation studies.
Ensure linkage to demand, MPS and plant run strategies are established for finished goods.
Identify priority plants for material planning â??high volatility/low MRP adherenceâ??.
Develop improved deployment, goods flow and warehouse space planning processes â?? facilitating process improvements between Transportation, Procurement and operating groups.
Provide support for SAP system configuration, plant readiness and roll-out.
Support analysis to drive raw and pack working capital planning and work with system for inventory optimization for raw/pack materials.
Measure key product supply and inventory metrics and communicate to senior management and functional teams. Support development, improvement and efficiency of KPI reporting processes for assigned businesses.
Support the development of the Annual Planning Process through the co-ordination of sourcing, production plan and raw/packing material inventory levels across the network(s).
Jointly with Transportation and Procurement, support analysis and project implementation of key transportation and warehousing productivity/CCR (ConAgra Cost Reduction) projects.
Achieve/Maintain company super-user status for SAP P2P and MRP, i2 and Inventory Optimization software
Benefits:
Bachelor's degree required, in Supply Chain or finance related field.
3+ year's previous Supply Chain or analysis experience.
Proficiency with Access a must; superior Excel skills required.
Strong understanding of the supply network to improve the efficiencies of those networks.
Strong understanding of Supply Chain IT transaction systems and information flow (SAP R/3, Supply network planning, finite capacity planning, finite scheduling, MRP and WMS).
Strong understanding of Supply Chain Management and demand-based replenishment strategy.
Exposure to inventory strategy, product supply, deployment and production planning preferred.
Exposure to Six-Sigma or other continuous improvement processes a plus.
Exposure to field manufacturing, supply planning experience. Ability to work with plant teams in establishing run strategy improvement and purchasing synchronization initiatives a plus.
Good project and change management skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Knowledge of MRP systems required; SAP MRP sytems highly desirable.
APICS certified (American Production Inventory Certification Society) preferred.
