Job Description
Microbiologist Technician for our client in the Food Manufacturing Industry in the Kansas City area.
The QA Microbiologist Technician will be responsible for ensuring consistent product quality in a manufacturing setting of a food company.
The incumbent will perform routine micro techniques and basic wet chemistry techniques including: aerobic plate counting, yeast, mold, and coliform testing, pre-op swabbing, moisture analysis, salt, pH, autotitration, and color analysis. Candidates must be able to assess product quality and when necessary put production on hold.
This position will also assist in customer complaints, statistical control, tracking trends weight control studies, and other special projects as assigned. Must be computer literate and savvy!!!
This is a 1st shift position Monday through Friday working in a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will have a solid work ethic and will be able to cover for off shifts when necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
BS degree in Microbiology is preferred. Candidates with a related scientific degree and exposure to microbiology will be considered. A great work ethic and attitude along with the ability to work independently as well as communicate across all levels in a manufacturing environment is required.
