Job Description
Overview Plans and directs the maintenance activities and machine shop departments along with other production systems, on all shifts, to ensure that all equipment and systems are thoroughly maintained.

Responsibilities • Plans and directs the activities of the Maintenance Department, on all shifts, to ensure that all manufacturing and building equipment, and related systems are maintained to provide for effective and efficient manufacturing operations. • Oversees the daily activities of Process & Equipment Maintenance, Facilities and Building Maintenance and Maintenance Planning,. • Develops and motivates personnel in regards to maintenance activities, safety, and teamwork, and effectively prioritizes and delegates work assignments to line supervisors. • Ensures compliance with safety related practices to prevent work related accidents and injuries. • Works closely with other production personnel to develop opportunities for improvements and in implementing solutions. • Performs special projects as assigned by the Engineering Manager.

Requirements Must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial to the success of this position. Incumbent should have demonstrated leadership skills with 5 to 7 years experience in a similar environment; food manufacturing experience would be a plus. This position also requires knowledge of maintenance responsibilities that should include building utilities, eletrical (PLC) production line mechanics. This position should also have strong PC computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office. Experience in LEAN manufacturing is required.
