Job Description
The Judge Group, INC. is currently in search of a Degreed Quality Assurance Manager with a strong USDA background for a Large Food Manufacturing Facility located in OH.

Job Description: The Quality Assurance Manager reports to Senior Director of Food Safety and Quality to support the company’s standards for product safety and quality. The QA Manager coordinates activities between the Assistant QA Manager, QA Tech Leader and QA Techs, focusing on the needs of production while maintaining efficient testing procedures necessary for assuring product safety and quality. QA Manager has 24 hours responsibility for Quality Assurance Department as well as being part of the technical team continuously working to enhance the QA system. The QA Manager is responsible for the HACCP program.

Job Responsibilities: 1. Coordinate daily floor activity during the shifts ensuring ample coverage in all phases of production and lab work. 2. Maintain close working relationship with Production Supervisors to proactively identify technical concerns in production procedures. 3. Supervise QA Assistant Manager, QA Tech. Leader and QA Techs in their daily routine, and monitor their progress and contribute to their evaluations through the year. 4. Perform general QA tasks as necessary and when short staffed. 5. Audit QA paper work. 6. Insure all HACCP procedures are performed accurately and efficiently. 7. Design and coordinate a HACCP training program for both shifts. 8. Develop and revise the HACCP program as needed. 9. Assist in the development of labels and nutritional information program. 10. Follow up and investigate customer complaints. 11. Assist Sr. Director of Food safety and Quality in QA problem solving. 12. Assist Sr. Director of Food safety and Quality, and Senior QA Technical Manager in conducting projects. 13. Assist Sr. Director of Food Safety in developing and meeting QA departmental Goals. 14. Assist Senior QA Technical Manager in technical training sessions for QA staff. 15. Responsible for adhering to the QA budget. 16. Conduct Food Safety Training Sessions with Operations employees. 17. Make responsible decisions in the absence of the Sr. Director of Food Safety and Quality.

REQUIREMENTS: Qualified Candidates for the Quality Assurance Manager position MUST HAVE a 4-Year BS/BA Degree with 3-5 years of current/recent Quality Management experience from within a USDA Manufacturing Facility. Candidates with a Prepared Foods/Fruits/Vegetables/Meat/Poultry/Deli/Dinners/Prepared Meals background are highly desired and will receive first consideration.
