Job Description
The Company

Our client is an internationally recognized manufacturer of frozen & refrigerated food products. They are seeking a Senior Bakery Technologist for their facility located in Denver, Colorado.

The Opportunity

The Senior Bakery Technologist will be responsible for developing and launching new products and line extensions. This position is highly visible and will seek to optimize product quality through improvements in ingredients, processing strategies and formulation. This is a growth opportunity for an aggressive food professional who seeks the challenge of working with a world-class organization. Other responsibilities include:

  • Drive product development from concept through commercialization.
  • Design and conduct test work.
  • Lead and manage inter-departmental project teams.
  • Develop and implement process improvements.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities.
  • Provide creative problem solving.
  • Train and develop new staff
  • Approximately 30% travel.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, AIB graduate or relevant work experience.
  • 6 years experience in baked goods product development.
  • Experience in leading from prototype development to full-scale production.
  • Knowledge of sensory testing, dough formulation, bakery systems and ingredient functionality.
