Job Description

Look into joining our team! We are currently looking for a qualified Maintenance Lead in our Gustine, CA facility.

Responsibilities include: • Respond to all requests for repairs and maintenance in a timely fashion either directly or by assigning a maintenance team member. Perform record keeping tasks. • Offer assistance and guidance to mechanics and machine operators in order to meet required performance requirements. • Schedule, assign, perform or see to the completion of preventive maintenance and repairs to spare and stand by equipment. • Perform setup and line changeovers. Must be able to run shift independently, on a continuous basis. • Perform weekly PM’s (inspections) of running equipment, and periodic PM’s (inspection, lube, and repair as needed) of equipment during times of shutdown. • Repair and maintains electronics in machinery and on equipment for proper operating efficiency. • Document all maintenance operations on work orders, log books, bill of lading, etc. And communicate shift activities, both verbally, and in writing. • Set-up and use miscellaneous shop equipment such as welders, cutting torches, drills, grinders, saws, air and gas powered tools, band saw and other hand held and shop tools. • Disassemble, inspect, repair and clean machinery and equipment to install new and/or repaired parts. • Replace and wire motors. And troubleshoot electrical problems, with a working knowledge of electrical controls and wiring. • Operate forklift, JLG or Snorkel type-elevating equipment to perform any job duties. • Handle the hour to hour production issues. • Conduct or attend Safety meetings, and communicate to staff. • Test electronic equipment and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronic units and systems to diagnose and repair malfunctions. • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare analysis, reports, schedules and correspondence. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, proportions, area, circumference, volume, and work with fractions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Knowledge and experience with 480 volt electric and controls a plus. 5 years combination of experience and/or education in order to have a maintenance mentality, skills, and knowledge to maintain a high level of efficiency in a food processing facility, and also carry out the tasks outlined in this job description preferred. Also, Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
