As an member of the Analytical Chemistry department you will conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses and interpret and communicate results on foods, beverages, and raw ingredients. You will provide guidance to Dr Pepper Snapple Group Research and Development employees and others.
The chemist will be responsible for performing a wide range of chemical analysis using the latest analytical instrumentation including; HPLC, GC/MS, UV/Vis Spectroscopy, ICP and wet chemistry techniques. Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting of formulation, quality
and manufacturing issues. Support product development project teams by being the key technical expert in determining testing needs and requirements for project completion. Job Requirements:3 to 5 years experience in laboratory environment. Working knowledge of HPLC, GC, GC/MS, UV/VIS Spectroscopy, ICP and Wet chemical techniques. Excellent oral & written skills with ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. Ability to travel domestically & internationally. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• BS Chemistry, 3 to 5 years experience in laboratory environment.
• Working knowledge of HPLC, GC, GC/MS, UV/VIS Spectroscopy, ICP and Wet chemical techniques

Key Relationships:
• Performance will be evaluated on ability to deliver agreed upon objectives. Chemist will be expected to work collaboratively with all functions of R & D.
Area of Responsibility:
• Primary contacts are product development scientists, ingredient technologists and flavor chemists.
• External contacts will be St. Louis concentrate manufacturing colleagues, Field Technical and operations, Supply chain manufacturing and the Global Science Center.
