Job Description

Our client is one of the most respected names in Food Manufacturing. They seek a QA Manager that has the experience to maintain and improve their Food Safety standards and procedures. They are constantly striving to elevate their products by upgrading their raw materials, methods and machinery. This individual will not only be responsible for keeping the facility compliant, but will also championing new and better ways of doing things. This is a “hands-on" role and requires someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about working with all levels in the plant. Duties Include: Perform continuous evaluation, maintenance and improvement of existing QA programs, including HACCP, Raw Ingredient Specification and Inspection, Finished Product Specification, Microbiological Testing, Sanitation and Environmental Testing, GMPs, Crisis Management and Vendor Certification. Provide QA resources and expertise throughout the company. Plan, implement and monitor appropriate reporting and record keeping systems for all Quality Assurance functions. Resolve, monitor and correct quality problems in a timely and effective manner. Provide leadership, supervision and training to QA team. Communicate regularly with current and potential customers, suppliers and vendors, laboratories, governmental and other regulatory agencies regarding various quality assurance matters. Manage the auditing process from various outside agencies. Job Requirements Education: MS / BS Food Technology, Food Science, Biology or Engineering GMP audit, SQF,AIB,or BRC and HACCP experience is required.
