A leading food manufacturer with facilities in northern New Jersey has an outstanding opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer. Reporting directly to the President, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations. The individual must be a business-minded financial leader who will ensure that financial transactions, policies and procedures meet short and long-term corporate strategic business plans and objectives.
Specific Responsibilities
o Oversee all aspects of the Company’s financial operations, including: general accounting; cost and inventory accounting; accounts receivable, credit and collections; accounts payable; fixed assets accounting; tax; budget forecasting and control; treasury functions; and, financial systems development and maintenance.
o Create, implement, administer, and evaluate all financial programs, procedures, and supporting information systems of the Company.
o Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analysis, and information reports.
o Coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial information systems of the Company.
o Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements.
o Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards and ensure that financial data is captured and maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
o Serve as the primary interface with external financial auditors and taxation authorities.
o Interact with Company management to provide consultative support in monitoring business performance and in planning business initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations. Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders.
o Partner with senior management in the development and execution of strategic business and/or operational plans.
Knowledge/Skills Required
o Experience in strategic planning and execution.
o Experience in managing all the financial aspects required within a food manufacturing entity, including but not limited to its finances, budgeting and cost controls.
o Experience with cash management and improving working capital performance.
o Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations as they relate to the entity.
o Ability to analyze, prepare, and present financial analyses. o In-depth knowledge of and hands-on experience with Oracle Financial eBusiness Suite.
o High degree of personal and professional integrity.

Experience/Education Required
o A solid Finance background with ten plus years of progressively responsible experience in a CFO or Vice President capacity within a food manufacturing environment.oCPAo A Master’s degree in Finance or an MBA.
