Our client, an international leader in the flavor and food ingrediedient industry, is again growing and now seeking a bright and creative Beverage Application Technologist as an addition to staff:
Beverage Application Technologist
Responsibilities: • Develop expertise in key application area for beverage internally and in the industry. • Foster technical to technical relationships with customers to ensure customer intimacy and relationship building for the future. • Identify and communicate opportunities to provide growth and profitability. • Participate in the development of the Category plans, providing technical insight as needed. • Bring proactive technical mindset to the BU; maintain up to date technical knowledge with regard to new technologies and ingredients, technical trends within the food industry. • Develop creativity and depth of knowledge in prototype/concept development on brief execution and proactive presentations through use of mentors. • Play an active role in client technical presentations, proactive and reactive, to position company as the Flavor Supplier with whom to count on for technical know-how, winning flavors and technologies. • Organize and manage the projects to ensure timely quality technical execution. • Utilize collections for flavor tonalities to increase win rate. • Develop a thorough knowledge of core customer’s strategies, brands, and products to bring new ideas and wins. • Proactively leverage internal resources to troubleshoot customer issues. • Communicate across Business Units, within the Zone and across the Global Flavor division to leverage resources and support growth outside of North America.
Profile: • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Food Science/Technology, chemistry or related field) with at least 3 years beverage applications experience OR 6 years beverage applications experience without the technical degree • Strong communication, presentation, computer and organizational skills • Ability to work in team environment and demonstrate leadership qualities • Demonstrate understanding of product development, processing, flavor/ingredient technologies • Achieve results as technical team member to develop, design, and execute experiments and report/interpret results • Demonstrate effective time management skills
