Job Description
Education or Training Required: Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university or minimum five years meat processing experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience Authorized Required Training: Forklift / Palletjack, Lockout / Tagout, Fall Protection, Product Reconditioning, Humane Handling Bloodborne Pathogens / First Aid-CPR Experience Required: Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a meat processing plant. Skills Required: Ability to read and interpret documents such as Specifications, Audit Forms, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), HACCP, Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP's), Graphs, and other policies and procedures for the company. Ability to write routine reports and present the information. Ability to speak effectively before outside visitors or employees of the organization. Must be able to use a computer, input data, and generate graphs. Must be able to read/write and speak English. Ability to maintain confidentiality is a must. Summary of Job Duties/ Responsibilities: 2nd Shift Quality Assurance Supervisor - Oversee contract cleaning to ensure cleaning procedures followed as outlined in the contract. Liason between Maintainence, plant operations and contract cleaning company. Ensure plant is ready for preoperational USDA inspections.
