Forklift Operator Summary: To accurately and efficiently pick orders while using first out (FIFO) methods to fulfill customer orders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: • Forklift operation • Product handling • Basic Math • Verify cases picked to match Bill of Lading • Communicate all issues to management for improvements • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: To perform successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below is representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and /or Experience: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training preferred. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondences. Mathematical Skills Ability to add , subtract, multiply , and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Forklift Certification preferred; not required. Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employees regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel ; reach with hands and arms; stoop , kneel , crouch , or crawl ; and talk to hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
