Essential Functions: The General Mechanic-Boiler Mechanic is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of steam generation systems, boilers and other equipment. This includes but is not limited to, the operations and service of boilers, steam generators, waste water systems, retort cooling systems, chemical water treatment, and water filtration system.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• This position must be fully committed to meeting manufacturing goals in the areas of safety, quality and production.
• Responsible for the daily operations, maintenance and service of steam generation systems, boilers and other equipment.
• Responsible for maintenance and service of boilers, steam generators, waste water systems, retort cooling systems, chemical water treatment, and water filtration system.
•  Complete all required documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of three (3) years experience as a boiler mechanic.
• Must have active Boiler Operators license.
• Understanding of preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance methods. Technical background in electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Knowledge of chemical water treatment.
• Knowledge of pumps and controls.
• Knowledge of wastewater systems and of cooling tower systems.
• Must have a general purpose tool box with proper tools to maintain and service equipment.
• Verbal and written skills in English.
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule per production requirements.
