BACKGROUND:
- BS/BA degree REQUIRED
- 2+ years experience Purchasing in a Food or Beverage manufacturing environment
- Skilled at building relationships with vendors
- Must have excellent communication and computer skills
- Willingness to attain professional certifications, if they don't already have them
POSITION:
This position is responsible for negotiating contracts with suppliers in a specific segment of the business. Develop relationships with vendors and work with them to attain competitive prices and work though issues with materials or deliveries. Identify, select and qualify the best suppliers in the industry. Develop annual cost savings programs and implement strategies to achieve short and long term savings targets.
