Job Duties in this Position:
Directing, training and developing 5+ maintenance team members for assigned area/shift.
Using problem solving skills and root cause analysis to resolve and / or mitigate maintenance issues.
Identifying opportunities to eliminate cost and / or waste through applying lean manufacturing principals.
Identifying, implementing and documenting maintenance and reliability best practices.
Skills, Experience and Education Required for this Position:
BS/BA and 2 years related experience OR HSD/GED and 5 – 10 years related work experience.
Previous Maintenance Supervisor experience in food manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Experience with SAP
Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance employees to assure proper maintenance and mechanic repair of machinery and equipment within the allotted budget and consistent with policies, procedures and FSIS regulations.
Develop a competent workforce through training, communicating expectations, providing frequent feedback, and, when necessary, taking disciplinary action in accordance with Company policy.
Monitor and enforce security and safety rules; follow up on equipment installed and its current operations; provide frequent feedback concerning the status of areas of responsibility.
Maintain records of equipment and employee time records.
