Skills and Experience Required for this Position: Bachelors Degree and 5 - 10 years equivalent work experience as Utilities / Refrigeration Maintenance Supervisor in a food manufacturing environment. RETA Certification.
Job Duties in this Position: 1. Direct and supervise shift maintenance for all refrigeration, boiler, and waste-water treatment facilities in the Livingston Plant complex.
2. Prepare work schedules and mechanic duty assignments as required to support the total maintenance program and the requirements of Production and USDA personnel.
3. Perform frequent on-the-job inspections to ensure: employee safe working habits, safe work areas, high quality workmanship, and effectiveness of maintenance and repairs.
4. Evaluate, prioritize, and schedule maintenance repair requests to ensure timely completion of all repair actions. Accurately estimate materials and manpower costs (for job orders and project requests).
5. Routinely inspect equipment for needed repairs and maintenance; prepare maintenance repair requests.
6. Provide technical assistance to assigned personnel in the following areas: proper operation of equipment; proper use of maintenance manuals/schematics, efficient troubleshooting; proper maintenance/repair of equipment.
7. Update PHA and PSM deficiencies per internal audits and Mechanical Integrity reports. Comply with all regulatory guidelines and company safety programs.
8. Provide the Maintenance Manager with a written list of materials and replacement parts as required
9. Responsible for continuous employee training program; especially for newly assigned personnel; and to increase the effectiveness of experienced personnel.
10. Conduct an aggressive, on-going safety program to include: inspection, instruction, correction, prevention, and documentation.
11. Monitor and keep current all required maintenance records, using these re-cords to conduct analysis and generate reports. Conduct monthly an environmental inspection and keep current all required maintenance records.
