SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Brand Manager will be responsible for day-to-day stewardship of the brand including all aspects of marketing, planning and implementation to drive brand growth and build brand value.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following; other duties may be assigned.
- Advertising creative development and implementation; agency management
- Creation and implementation of consumer promotion program
- Lead close-in new product development and work with innovation team in identifying breakout
innovation opportunities
- Analysis of syndicated and shipment data, including analysis of competitive trends
- Authoring of the annual Brand plan
- Management of the Brand P&L
- Presenting plans to key stakeholders, brand VP, CMO, Senior Leaders and Field Sales
- Attend key Customers calls when appropriate
- Manage the development of one or more direct reports
- Forecasting
- Budgeting
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Potentially 1-2 Associate Brand Managers/Brand Assistants
QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3-4 years Brand Management experience, preferably within the CPG industry
- Fundamentally sound marketing skills with very strong business and financial acumen
- Creative, conceptual, imaginative and yet practical and analytical enough to solve day-to-day
problems
- Comfortable presenting to Senior Management and large groups at Sales meetings
- 5-10% travel
- Demonstrated bias for action and proficiency in project management skills, data analysis, budget
management
- Ability to translate a strategy or concept into marketing programs that drive product availability
and accessibility in branded consumer communications
- Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and analytical skills
EDUCATION:
- MBA Required
- BS in Finance, Marketing or Business
EXPERIENCE:
- Professional experience within packaging/consumer products industry preferred.
SKILLS/PROFICIENCIES:
- Familiar with IRI, Nielsen data, Homescan Panel, Spectra
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.
- Strong analytics, ability to synthesize large amounts of data and develop fact-based action
plans
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, drive cross-functional alignment and results, and prioritize
activity
- Detail oriented, organized, reliable and resourceful professional with practical experience and
understanding of marketing processes.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize under pressure and within tight budget
constraints
- Ability to present, persuade and build relationships across all levels of the organization
- Ability to motivate, develop and lead direct reports
