Packaging Controls Engineer – Denver, Colorado

We are currently looking to hire a Packaging Controls Engineer for our Denver office. This position will include the opportunity to work with one of our top clients and provide excellent momentum for career growth and advancement.
Requirements/Responsibilities
Responsibilities include accountability for complete project execution including system design, testing, component specification, documentation management, vendor/contractor management, equipment procurement, installation and start-up support.
This position requires the ability to work with minimal supervision, effective organizational skills and the ability to successfully execute multiple project responsibilities. Candidates need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must possess higher level interpersonal communication skills cross linked with building and maintaining solid client relationships.
Required Skills. Excellent project engineering and project management skills, strong working knowledge of packaging control hardware, instrumentation, and software including industry-standard PLC, DCS, SCADA, Historian, Allen Bradley Controllogix, Rockwell FT View, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, experience with High Speed Packaging and Bottling in the Food and Beverage Industry
Advantageous Skills. Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, Six Sigma analytical and modeling skills with proven experience, V-Curve and Line Optimization, knowledge of popular packaging machine center manufacturers and modes. Possessing advantageous skills will clearly elevate you as an applicant.
Education
BS in Electrical Engineering is preferred, but consideration will be given to other engineering degrees based on actual project experience.
Experience
Minimum Five (5) years of plant project engineering experience involving software development and testing for packaging controls, packaging automation, high speed packaging, line optimization and related automation application.
Travel Requirements
40-60% travel will be required on a sporadic basis to support installation and start-up activities, attend Client meetings and other meetings. The vast majority of this travel will be regional.
