Job Description

Consumer Products/Industrial Manufacturing Company is looking for:

 
POSITION:  Supply Chain Project Engineer/Manager 
LOCATION:   Manteca, CA 
SALARY:   90-110K 
DEGREE:   Required
EXPERIENCE:  8 Years 
RELOCATION:   Available  

 
- Partner with other functions to develop and implement materials handling solutions that deliver transformational productivity and service improvements.  
- Facility and Warehouse process engineering and systems modifications 
- Identify and develop technologies and applications that can be leveraged within the supply chain
- Assist Ops and distribution in creating Start-up, SOPS and roll out plans.
- Lead initiatives in support of materials handling strategy and operations.
 
Key responsibilities:
 
- Collect, analyze, interpret and apply operational data in creating a materials handling solution.
- Coordinate and enable the company cross functional team in order to build consensus and drive the best solutions.
- Direct potential and selected vendors by providing clear understanding of solution objectives and limitations, insuring that data is relevant and accurate and closing all open items.
- Understand, contribute to and apply modeling and simulation activities and results to validate and optimize materials handling solutions.
- Support pilot activities to validate the results
 
Requirements:
 - BS in Engineering, Business  or Logistics
-  8 + years as  Supply Chain, Warehouse or  Automated Materials Handling Project Engineering Experience
- Knowledge of supply chain fundamentals across manufacturing, warehouse and distribution
- Strong analytical and computer skills
- Ability to lead/contribute in cross-functional team environment.
- Innovative “out of the box” thinking skills to drive transformational change
- Proven ability to multi-task
 
Preferred Experience:
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desired.
- Understanding of mutliple automated DC/Warehouse operations
- Implementation of multiple MHE projects
- Understanding of Lean Supply Chain Principals
