Job Description

 

Requirements:  4 year Bachelor degree in engineering and 2 years  of experience in a food/beverage processing plant environment is a requirement.  Specific requirements include: 

  • capital project management, and hands on troubleshooting
  • Experience in fluid systems, selecting and specifying beverage equipment, pumps and materials of construction, bottling/capping systems, thermal processing, heat exchangers/pasteurizers, hot fill juice production, fluid batching systems, CIP technology, and bulk receiving systems is desired.
  • Experienced analyzing process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, optimize throughput, and troubleshoot.
  • Ability to write reports and develop specifications.
  • Experienced  managing contractors.
  • Able to work with maintenance/operations and corporate personnel and work in a team environment. Possess strong coaching and communication skills and project management skills.
  • Experience reading P&ID’s, knowledge of industrial electrical systems, and controls and instrumentation a plus.

Responsibilities: Individual serves as the plant’s technical expert with regards to process capabilities, process design, process changes, process trouble shooting, and project management. The Process Engineer will manage and track all phases of a project from conceptual design through successful startup. The Process Engineer will serve as a liaison, communicating internal customer requirements and expectations throughout the various organizational functions. The Process Engineer will be the technical lead on all changes to existing process systems in the facility as well as new processing technologies to be developed.
