Requirements: BS in Engineering; 8-10 year's of experience managing a variety of large capital projects; strong project management skills (PMP desired), strong engineering acumen (PE desired), and outstanding verbal/written communication skills. Position will require about 50% travel.
Responsibilities: Individual develops, manages and implements major capital projects throughout the manufacturing network. The position represents a high level of individual contribution and is responsible for driving technical capability and consistency across manufacturing by identifying improvement opportunities; proposing innovative engineering solutions; initializing/managing engineering projects; integrating the implementation of technical changes among plants; and contributing to engineering standards The major focus of this role is managing multiple projects consisting of capital investments ranging from $100,000 to $10 million. Specific responsibilities include:
- Identify and implement improvements that will drive technical capability and consistency throughout the manufacturing network.
- Manage the planning, design and execution of large technical improvement projects that support safety, product quality, cost reduction, or
capacity requirements across the manufacturing network. - Provide expert project management in executing capital investments that
sometimes exceed $10 million. - Provide common objectives with different project managers at different locations under the direction of the Sr. Engineering Manager.
- Assume leadership of multi-functional project teams.
- Contribute to and support Engineering Standards as a basis for institutionalizing key technologies and processes.
- Effectively perform within broad cross-functional teams that develop and execute key strategic business initiatives.
