Job Description

FORTUNE 100  CONSUMER PRODUCTS COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR:

POSITION:    Maintenance Manager/Engineer

EXPERIENCE:    5+ Years of Experience

LOCATION:   Jefferson IA Area ( 90  Miles northwest of Des Moines and  110 Miles from Omaha  in a small town)
SALARY -    95-105K  + Bonus

BONUS -  Eligible

RELOCATION - Available

Need experience in: NH3 systems, Wastewater, boilers;

The incumbent for this position needs to be a “hand-on” engineer who can and does consistently engage a small team of supervisors and maintenance / motive power technicians.  They will also have responsible for planning & assigning work on regular basis.  They need to be able to get along well with folks at any level in the organization and have strong communication and leadership skills.

Strongly preferred experience in: Kitchen environments, including batch grind, blend, and stuffing processes / equipment.  I’m open to considering those in similar industries/experiences who’ve done comparable work.  Doing this part right can make/break the plant.

Other preferred experience: CMMS experience, project management, Predictive / Preventative maintenance, etc.

Good to have: SAP CMMS  (I’m open to considering others)

This is a small facility (140+ total employment; including 3 Mx supervisors, 12 mechanics/techs) but it is a “seasoned” facility.  It was closed in 2000 but reopened in 2001 due to a fire/closure of another facility and has remained open ever since.  No other plant in our system currently does what this facility does.

I would be open to someone who would consider this role as an opportunity to get into the organization and move ahead as development opportunities arose.  Or, it could be an incumbent who is seeking a nice, small plant to manage, keep consistent and successful, who may not be interested in pursing the “big plant” experience.  Regardless, they need to deliver consistently and be hands on with the folks there.  Managing from the office does not work in this plant.

QUALIFICATIONS:

5  plus years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Capable of communicating and expressing ideas clearly and concisely, in both written and oral formats.

Knowledge of Microsoft spreadsheets, Word processing software and the Internet, Microsoft Suite and UNIX applications (SAP).

Ability to use exposure monitoring equipment, interpret and communicate results.

Strong interpersonal, technical and presentation skills required.

Possess advanced technical skills in the mechanical / electrical fields (e.g. PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical engineering, etc.) and is able to lead resource planning efforts in a large manufacturing environment.

Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order process, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, etc.
