Job Description

Technical Manager

Company is seeking a Technical Manager for their Southern Maine location.   

Relocation Assistance is available

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·       Leads and oversees all technical support to plant bottling and processing equipment and general facility maintenance.

·       Coordinates onsite engineering projects and ensures compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards

·       Design and coordinate plant Preventive Maintenance plans and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance through use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System

·       Provide technical direction for all capital projects for the facility

·       Analyze, report, and communicate departmental key metrics related to maintenance systems

·       Partner with Safety & Environmental to improve energy usage of the Plant

·       Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for all maintenance related activities

·       Provide technical support to all continuous improvement activities for Operations and Logistics

 

Key qualifications include:

·       Bachelor’s degree in engineering;

·       Seven or more years of experience managing a maintenance or technical department in a manufacturing environment

·       Previous maintenance experience in a food, beverage or clean manufacturing environment preferred

·       TPM experience highly preferred

·       In-depth understanding of preventative maintenance processes

·       Ability to lead and coach employees and leaders

·       Working knowledge of the financial considerations when controlling a maintenance budget

·       Ability to influence change and innovation in a team atmosphere

·       Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills

·       Understanding of automation controls and industrial power distribution

·       Knowledge and experience to plan and execute projects from conception to completion

·       Solid analytical, problem solving, and technical troubleshooting skills

·       Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment

·       Proficient in making business decisions using facts and good judgment

·       Self starter who requires minimal supervision

·       Acquainted with Statistical Process Control

·       Ability to respond to after hours calls/issues when critical
