We are recruiting a Director of Environmental, Health & Safety for a long-time client of ours, and one of the nation's leading privately-held food manufacturers. They have a track record of growth and a vision to double the size of the company in the near future. They have state-of-the-art facilities and are committed to develop and implement World Class EHS systems.

Salary to $150K plus good bonus, benefits, and relocation.

BACKGROUND:

•  Must have the ability to communicate a "VISION" for EHS and lead the company to achieve that vision.
• Must have either experience in a World Class environment or in a company that is striving toward becoming World Class.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety, Industrial Health, or related field.  Master's degree is a plus.
• 10+ years progressive experience in EHS in process manufacturing (versus discrete) - Food or Beverage manufacturing is a plus.
• Solid background in both Environmental and Safety is required.
• Must be strategic but also practical.
• Outstanding leadership skills are required, and must be effective at building relationships. 

 POSITION:

As the top EHS leader in the company, the Director of EHS will lead the corporate-wide development and implementation of the company's environmental team, sustainability programs, and occupational safety and health programs. The Director's focus will include the leadership and direction of the team, the creation of needed processes, operating models, metrics and technologies to enable the business to deliver environmentally-friendly and sustainable operations, as well as the safest and healthiest workplaces possible.  The Director will be responsible for partnering with the sales teams and suppliers to ensure delivery on customer commitments.  They will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics and Distribution leadership to implement strategies and programs that drive safe and environmentally sustainable systems.  They will analyze complex data to support strategies and initiatives.
