As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for providing process engineering support to maintain and improve profitability of an assigned process area of the plant. You will work closely with the Operations Department to troubleshoot major process related problems that require technical expertise and experience. Qualifications
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering Preferred, but other backgrounds considered
Designation as a "Professional Engineer" would be an asset, as would membership with the American Institute of Chemical Engineers
A minimum of 5 years' experience in processing engineering
Project Management experience would be a definite asset
Previous experience in implementing Process Safety Management (PSM) programs would be a definite asset
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to set priorities and work in a multi-task environment
Demonstrated ability to evaluate and apply new technologies
Possess knowledge in and experience with safe work practices in an environment accompanied by a superior safety attitude
Well-developed communication and presentation skills sufficient to convey both factual and conceptual information requiring detailed explanation and interpretation to staff, professional and business groups
