Job Description

Consumer Products/Industrial Manufacturing Company is looking for:

 

POSITION: Plant Controller/Finance Manager
LOCATION: Callahan FL Area (Jacksonville Region)
SALARY: 80-90K
DEGREE:  Required
EXPERIENCE: 8-10 Years

RELOCATION:  Assistance

 

GENERIC

 

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

4 Year Bachelors Required, MBA and CPA Preferred

10 Years Plant Level Accounting Management

4 Years Supervision

Must have Cost Accounting

SAP is a big plus. 

 

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION is to manage all accounting  functions at the plant to include: accounts payable, hourly payroll, production reporting and inventory control. Play an active role in identifying and resolving issues to improve overall plant efficiency. Provide monthly financial reports to plant management and divisional procedures and ensure compliance with divisional procedures. Prepare journal vouchers at month end to ensure expenses are accrued properly.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Provide division with corrections to the bill of materials to reflect correct standards usage and cost. Research variances from budget/forecast to determine cause and provide management with results so that corrective action can be implemented. Prepare month end journal vouchers for those goods and services received but not invoiced to accurately reflect monthly spending. Provide information to plant management to identify issues that impact financial results, both positively and negatively. Develop internal controls and ensure compliance with divisional accounting policy and procedures. Reconciliation and accuracy of physical inventories, so that book inventory value is properly stated. Develop budget/forecast for manufacturing overhead spending, direct labor, and material scrap accounts.
