Job Description

Qualifications:
* B.S. / M.S. / PhD in relevant field, to include principles of human behavior and testing, statistics and experimental design and sensory science. Relevant degree field include: Statistics, Biostatistics, Food Science with a Sensory Science emphasis, or Experimental Psychology.
* 5+ years of progressively responsible, relevant experience in supporting business needs through research on CPG's.
* Proven experience in the design and/or implementation of sensory programs, sensory and consumer research, statistical analysis, DOE and the evaluation of new products
* Demonstrated leadership and strategic competencies; strong project management and complex problem solving abilities; excellent communication and influencing skills; and the ability to be self-directed, forward thinking and make complex decisions that drive business performance

Duties:
* Manage research priorities in conjunction with R&D Leadership to ensure that business objectives are met
* Lead department initiatives to develop processes, methods and/or systems that ensure the on-going improvement of sensory and consumer research
* Manage staff and ensure testing is executed in a cost-effective and quality fashion, using appropriate methods
* Advise Project Teams and Platform Leadership on appropriate project direction based on Sensory Insights research results
* Work closely with cross-functional teams by providing technical leadership and influencing decision making
* Develop standardized guidelines, formats, processes and protocols to align sensory and consumer research across platforms
* Assure the business needs of project and brand teams are met
* Support the long initiatives of the R&D organization
* Use expertise and consultancy skills to identify test needs, select appropriate statistical design and test approach, and execute research
* Communicate to brand teams, senior management and technical personnel of results and implications to be the product design resulting from sensory insight testing
* Responsibility to develop necessary sensory staff and methodology to meet business needs
