SUMMARY
This position is responsible for operation of production lines and supervising up to 40 employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Treat co-workers fairly, consistently and with respect
2. Meet product standards; i.e., thru-put and cents per pound
3. Assure a safe work environment
4. Produce a safe and wholesome product to the required specifications
5. Complete appropriate paperwork on a daily basis; i.e., HACCP, pounds produces,
complete job packets, etc.
6. Follow all guidelines and procedures as set forth by AdvancePierre Foods; i.e.,
discipline, attendance, etc.
7. Play close attention to housekeeping issues on the lines
8. Maintain or improve product yields and thru-put on a by-item basis
9. Must communicate effectively to promote smooth, timely operation processes and
cooperation between departments and employees
10.Responsible for training and developing employees in all areas related to their jobs
11.Other responsibilities as directed by management

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises up to 40 employees in production. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with two years production experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
VERBAL/WRITTEN SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and product specifications. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and organize concepts on paper. Ability to speak effectively to employees of organization.
INFORMATION SYSTEMS SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Basic understanding of computer hardware and Microsoft Windows environments. Ability to learn routine and job specific Ross computer commands and functions. Ability to demonstrate basic computer abilities including storage and retrieval of data, basic work processing and spreadsheet usage skills and use of e-mail.
REASONING/DECISION MAKING SKILLS
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
