A national artisan bakery is seeking a Transfer Driver with a valid Class A license and weekend availability to deliver frozen product in bulk form to our freezer storage facility and/or to our frozen product customers. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends and/or overnights as required.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Delivering bulk frozen product to storage facility and/or to customers
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Operating a forklift
- Breaking down pallets at grocery warehouses
- Filling out bills of lading, daily DOT pre-trip, and other paperwork as needed
- Assisting with inspecting trucks prior to loading on a daily basis
In order to be considered for this position, candidates must meet all requirements listed below.
Vehicle Operation:
- Must possess a current Class A CDL license
- Must be able to meet all relevant DOT requirements
- Must have at least one year of relevant experience
- Must have maintained a clean driving record for the last three years
- Must have no more than one at-fault accident in the last three years
- Must have some experience operating a forklift (certification preferred but not necessary)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to climb in/out of the back of a truck
- Must be able to bend, twist, reach and lift when needed
- Must be able to safely drive a truck in all weather.
- Must have some experience operating a forklift
General Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check and/or drug screen
- Must be able to work weekends and have a generally flexible schedule
- Must be dependable and able to follow attendance procedures/policies
