BEVERAGE PRODUCT INNOVATION MANAGER
As our Beverage Product Innovation Manager, you will manage S&D product line innovations from concept development to commercialization. Primary job responsibilities include:
- Identifying product line gaps and developing products to bridge gaps
- Generating innovation opportunities by utilizing internal and external sources
- Traveling to key account and selected field sites to talk with key buying influences
- Evaluating, approving and analyzing risk of new or existing products
- Serving as project manager on development projects
- Managing the technical development of products internally or externally
This position requires thorough knowledge of the beverage industry. Other qualifications include: BS in Business Administration, Food Science or related field (Master's degree in Food Science or Business Administration is preferred); minimum of 6-8 years' experience with food/beverage product development with packaged goods, restaurant or food service industry; knowledge of and experience with beverages of all types including beverage equipment; demonstrated ability for technical problem solving and understanding of food systems and ingredient functionality; experience/and or knowledge with nutritional data generation and regulatory requirements from USDA/FDA as well as State and local health and food safety code; experience with product development, production trials, and test conversion to full production; strong background in product research including qualitative, sensory and quantitative research; understanding of marketing fundamentals (segmentation, targeting and positioning, value creation, pricing, competitive comparisons, and marketing communications); solid Project Management skills; and ability/desire to travel as needed.
