JOB DESCRIPTION

Repairs complex electrical equipment, including automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems and alarms.  Installs electrical equipment with minimal instructions.  Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, detects and replaces defective control modules.  Performs complex wiring assignments.  Installs power, light, electronic and control circuits.  Provides technical assistance to lower level maintenance mechanics.   

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience. Preferred experience in a food-manufacturing environment.
•  Must be hands-on, have solid communication skills. 
• Proven experience with machinery maintenance, electrical systems, process controls, compressed air and hydraulic systems.
• Must be able to read and understand electrical  drawings, and schematics.
•  A working knowledge of programmable logic controls, be able to read and diagnose problems from the PLC.
