Commercial Manager, Customer Risk Management
Skills / Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required, plus extensive agricultural and marketing/trading experience with in-depth knowledge of grain, oilseeds and macro markets
- Experience managing people and projects
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and good presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability in building relationships, leading and influencing others
- Results and action oriented
- Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, GTM
- Travel of at least 50% is likely
Overview
Working with individual business units, leads effort to bring more intimate market intelligence and risk management solutions to top tier customers, the majority of which will be downstream customers. The role is additive to the existing business unit relationships and interacts with customers on a macro market level. The Commercial Manager of the Customer Risk Management group, in partnership with the Manager of Research, is a key information conduit to and from the company and its key customers.
Essential Functions
- Work with business unit General Managers, Commercial Managers, and Sales Managers to identify and execute market intelligence and risk management solutions to key customers.
- Work with business units to establish customer solutions goals and consistency across business, and routinely assess results of activities in this area.
- Continually interact with and provide intensive one on one service to key customers but also to serve as support to business units to include, among other things:
- Risk management solutions
- Superior North American and global information flow to customers
- Day to day market developments
- Supply/Demand
- Macro markets
- Market reviews and briefs
- Face to face customer contact
- Any type of special information the customer needs
- Manage FRM trading and small FRM trading staff in order to execute customer risk management solutions.
- Report progress to business unit senior management
