GENERIC Job Responsibilities: Expanding company is looking for a leadership role in the Quality Assurance Area of the company with background from the food and beverage industry.
Requirements: BS Degree in Science, Biology Microbiology or related science/engineering field Must have experience in Consumer Products Manufacturing Minimum of 7-10 years strong quality leadership and management experience Strong technical knowledge of quality systems tools and concepts. Knowledge of relevant Government regulations
Duties: The Quality Manager is a high-profile leadership position that reports to the VP. The position leads the development and implementation of product safety and quality management systems necessary to meet regulatory customer and internal corporate requirements. Manages all aspects of the site food safety and quality management system. Prioritizes issues appropriately including communication to clients as needed. Serves as 'change agent' to drive improvements in programs processes and culture Establish programs procedures techniques and systems to ensure product conformance to Company and government specifications/standards and customer/consumer satisfaction Continuous enhance current quality management systems including appropriate use of statistical process capability/control safety//GMP structured team problem solving and best in class laboratory practices and sensory techniques. Maintain sampling plans for ingredients finished products and other materials in order to gather samples perform analyses and take appropriate actions based upon the test results
