Qualifications:
* BS/MS Sensory or related field
* 3-5+ years' hands-on sensory experience
* Experimental design is a plus
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* Excellent problem solving skills
* Strong written, oral and facilitation skills for training, presentations and client interactions
* Ability to evaluate and communicate risk
* Conveys information in understandable terms at all levels of an organization
* Experience in quantitative sensory methods
* Experience in statistical analysis associated with sensory studies
* Ability to work individually and in a team environment
Duties:
* Designs, conducts, analyzes and reports sensory studies based on business and customer needs
* Supports technical resources to achieve goals in optimization and ingredient utilization
* Supports cost saving initiatives through ingredient, product & process optimization
* Develops and implements a sensory program for plant quality personnel
* Develops lexicons to define key attributes of products
* Follows product through shelf life and stress testing to identify high risk/low stable products
* Provides sensory support to customers, sales & manufacturing as required
* Understands methods used to identify what drives consumer liking in products
* Performs other duties as assigned
