A Designer for will support the Engineering Department by assisting in the design and development of new products and components to be internally manufactured and sourced from a vendor. Assist in determining feasibility of design concepts. Prepare layouts utilizing different approaches in order to aid management in deciding the best course of action. Determine piece part specifications to ensure proper fit of all components. Produce individual piece part sketches and drawings for all parts required. Complete detailed design layouts to be used by various departments in the building of prototypes. Analyze prototype and adjust layouts/sketches as required before production begins. Assist engineers with development and testing projects. Minimum of 5 to 7 years of related experience. Experience in Solid Modeling with AutoCAD Inventor or equivalent software. Proficient with Microsoft Office and experience with an ERP/MRP system is a plus. Associates degree or higher in drafting or related, Midwest, Competitive salary
